EMILIANO SACRIPANTI
About the Artist
Emiliano Sacripanti grew up in a small village in Argentina, surrounded by trees, lagoons, and dirt roads. In that quiet environment he found a love of music, and a joy in the interplay of landscape and sound. Using a guitar that his father had hidden behind a wardrobe, Emiliano began recording ideas onto tape cassettes, tucked away in the attic of his family home.
In 2016, Emiliano released his debut album, Huella, which led to a tour across Argentina, performing both solo and with a band.
Two years later he left his home country, armed with a guitar, a few clothes, and a suitcase full of records. His journey took him across Europe, before he finally settled in Sweden, where he now lives.
It’s perhaps no surprise then, that Emiliano’s music searches for the intersection between place, memory, and sound. On stories told and places left behind.
Building from a foundation of classical guitar and vocals, his songs unfold gradually through evolving textures and the use of loops, drawing on elements of Argentine folk, indie-folk and ambient music. His approach is also influenced by the rich warmth of 1970s analogue recording techniques, leaning into an organic and analogue sound.
In Autumn 2025, Emiliano released his first single since leaving his home: “Los Nombres Que No Olvidamos” (“The Names We Don’t Forget”). The song first began to take shape during his travels, before finding full form in the context of an ever-darkening political situation in Argentina. The single was recorded in Emiliiano’s studio and mastered at Svenska Grammofonstudion.
Two further singles have followed, and a new album is due for release in 2026. Crafted over two years, the album is a quiet triumph – worth leaning in close for.
