About the Artist

Have you ever stumbled upon an old memory that’s been gathering dust?

When Wilma Holmes began studying psychology, she found herself fascinated by human memory. That became the spark for her upcoming album, Transience, named after the psychological concept describing how memories fade over time.

With support from the Swedish Arts Council, Wilma recorded the album in August together with her producer Noel Hassling-Offrell, who has previously worked on productions for Sara Parkman and Internet Friends, to name a few. The album is expected to be completed in November, after which it will be mixed and mastered by Sven Johansson (Anna von Hausswolff, among others).

Malmö-based Wilma Holmes released her debut album, Intruder, in 2024. She has played headline shows throughout Sweden and in Norway, and has supported artists such as Mariam The Believer, Vilma Flood and Teodor Wolgers. Wilma also runs annual festival Folk Från Skogen in Dalarna.
